What is Mind/Body Health?
It is the recognition that our thoughts, feelings, emotions, attitudes and lifestyle exert a profound effect upon our health.  Studies show that anxiety, depression and other negative emotions contribute as much or more to the development of heart disease as high blood pressure or high cholesterol.  Likewise positive emotions such as love, compassion and inner peace can significantly improve our health and well being.  

To the extent that an illness is caused or worsened by stress is the degree to which it can be improved with mind/body interventions.  These include:  meditation, breathing practices, visualization, exercise, psychotherapy, mindfulness and many others.  Common conditions that can benefit from mind/body approaches are:
